"Erie cookie shop to salute local police, fire departments Talk about a sweet idea: The Ye Ole Sweet Shoppe at 402 State St. will be delivering cookies to area firemen and police officers Friday in recognition of the 10th anniversary of 9/11. This is the third year in a row the shop has done this. “It’s a small gift of thanks for such a huge sacrifice,” store owner Lea Yadeski said. Those receiving cookies will include the Erie police, the Lawrence Park Police Department, the Wesleyville Police Department, the Millcreek Police Department, and firefighters at Central Station, South Central Station, Engine 8 Station, Engine 11 Station, Engine 6 Station and Engine 13 station."
