Our April Cash Mob was another success! For this month, we took our Mob out to Harborcreek Township in Erie PA and Mobbed the following businesses: More Than Just Flowers and Old Station One restaurant. In addition to being locally owned, Old Station One had different flags hanging up: one that said they support EMS, one that said they support our firefighters and one that said they support our Troops. In addition, in speaking with one patron, he indicated his favorite part of the establishment is the special play area that they have for the kids, and every month they have “child karaoke”. For this event, families bring their children and the children get to sing, along with some parents singing in, and everyone dancing and having a great time. This patron’s comment was "if more businesses were this supportive of helping strengthen the family institution, the world would be a much better place to live." It made us really proud in our decision to cash mob this particular business.
There are many benefits to supporting local business and the impacts it can have on local economies, as well as our national economy. For more information on this topic, please see the following page on this site that was just launched this week: http://www.manlafins.com/business/shop-local.aspx
